and more
published: Wed 29th Mar 2006
The Soundstation Festival, which gives equal weighting to the live and dance music genres, and takes place at Eastside Park, Birmingham on Sunday 28th May, from 2pm until 11pm has confirmed some more acts.
Joining the acts previously confirmed for the Live Stage - Graham Coxon, Orson, The Crimea, and Boy Kill Boy - are Guillemots, along with new guitar rock band Switches and avant-garde Irish rockers V//Formation.
Added to the B-Live Arena there's the collaborative partnership which includes Mark Rae (from the production outfit Rae & Christian) YESKING Soundsystem, fusing hip-hop, soul, dancehall, ragga tinged vocals and skank/ska rhythms to create a unique texture of sounds.
Also newly announced is the Soundstation Bar. This will play host to DJs from clubnights and promoters in the Midlands. Festival Event Director Nick Morgan explains The latest additions sum up exactly what Soundstation is about: blending exceptional emerging talent of diverse genres with established world-class acts on a single platform.
Tickets are priced at £25 (full price) or £20 (special offer for first 2,500 tickets) - click here to buy.
