how fantastic was that?
but perhaps Pete didn't think so?

Glastonbury Festival Glastonbury Festival 2005

Yet another fantastic Glastonbury! A very big thank you to Michael Eavis and all the hard-working staff who made it all happen and (mostly) kept it happening through those horrible conditions.

There were of course many fantastic performances over the weekend, and we'll have reviews and photos online for you soon - as the website for festival go-ers and unlike every other publication, we spend our time enjoying the festival rather than missing it by writing about it while there: there is no other way to do it!

Yes there was mud, but for many people it was all forgotten about by Sunday morning (as long as you kept away from the front of the main stages). But for those whose tents were flooded out by the Friday morning storm, we're sure it wasn't so easy to forget - we hope you had a great festival anyway.

The 'missed the point entirely' award goes to Pete Doherty. Was it really necessary to have at least three securirty personnel shoving people out of your way as you walked around site? You might be The Sun's fav celeb this week, but the rest of us aren't interested in hassling you: get a real life, and not a drug-induced tabloid one!

For someone so hyped, that 20 minute set on the Other Stage was so shambolic that even the hordes of adoring hospitality who poured out to watch quickly left to find something else more interesting to do by the second song. And why the grumpy face as you left Lost Vagueness on Saturday evening? Could it be your shock at being told - despite your tabloid superstardom - that you weren't wanted to play? Shame.

Check back over the next few days for all the reviews and photos.
