Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis had just been interviewed by Stuart Maconie on Radio 2, where he talked about the plans for a year off in 2006, as well as saying how ticketing is to work for this year's Festival.

He said that there's to be no hi-tech ticket system this year, or photos on the tickets, as they'd be difficulties getting the systems in place in time.

He went on that ticketing is to work much as last year, but that photo ID would be required at the gates for entry.

However, from a conversation we held with one of his senior staff (involved in the ticketing decision) last night, we were led to understand that a final decision on all the details wasn't due to be made just yet, and a full statement would be made by the festival in around two weeks.

It was confirmed yesterday that tickets for 2005 are to be priced at £125 (plus a small booking fee), and as was expected are to go on sale at 9am on Sunday 3rd April, limited to two per purchase.
