According to an exclusive news story of the Mid Somerset Newspapers, The Killers are to fill the Sunday night headline slot that was to be Kylie's.

Our own exclusive information this morning from the Festival tells us that the deal isn't finalised as yet, although it does look likely.

Mid Somerset Newspapers report that as a result of The Killers moving from Friday evening, other slots will now have to be shuffled around. Keane are now expected to play before The White Stripes on Friday.

There's been massive spectulation on who would fill Kylie's slot. The festival apparently approached four world famous performers, who all declined, feeling they wouldn't be in that slot for the right reasons. Stevie Wonder was also approached, but was unavailable.

Eavis told Wells Journal news editor Christian Lockyer: "At the end of the day, the big time stars didn’t really want to fit into the slot. They felt that if they did come and perform on the Sunday night, then they weren’t really there for the right reasons."
