James for Guildford Live
other rumours too

Thu 3rd May 01

GuilFest Guildford Live 2001

According to their official email newsletter, James are to headline the Saturday at this years Guildford Live festival.

According to information listed by their booking agents, The Bush The Tree and Me are to play on the Saturday.

Rumours have also been heard that Pulp are to headline the Friday night. When Jarvis Cocker was asked if this is true, he replied along the lines of "I'm not legally allowed to talk about that". It could be just a standard denial, but we felt that his reaction was such that it could be true! Jarvis was spotted out watching Tom Tom Club last week (who we know are interested in playing Guildford, among other festivals)... was this just co-incidence?

Other rumours include local boy Paul Weller to headline on Saturday - but this seems unlikely if James are the headliners, and last years absentee James Brown to close the show on Sunday.

A full line-up announcement is expected soon, along with ticket details. Watch this space!
