The Thai Kitchen is part of Alfresco Cafes, a small family owned and operated company dedicated to providing the finest Thai catering for events around England & Wales.
We offer event organisers and their customers an alternative to the traditional burger vans with a unique Thai themed unit and a healthy but tasty menu.
The Food
All our food is handmade from fresh ingredients by a team of trained Thai chefs. The ingredients are all GM free and ethically sourced.
Unlike almost every other caterer, all of the cooking and most of the preparation is done on site, in the kitchen, right in front of the customers.
For a healthy and authentic flavour we only use fresh herbs and spices and never any artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives.
With a healthy diet in mind, we pre-steam the chicken and don't use any added salt, sugar or butter.
The Kitchen
A top spec hydraulically lowering 7 metre trailer, completed in May 2004. The kitchen is a unique, custom built unit specifically designed to produce Thai food.
It has hydraulically lowering axles so that all staff can be at eye level with customers and so that customers can see their meals being prepared easily.
It has a removable drawbar so that it does not take up any more space than necessary.
It has a full length and height slide-out counter to provide enough space for up to 10 staff to work in comfort meaning that all customers are served within 5 minutes even at peak times.
The Crew
Our staff are smartly uniformed and trained to at least food hygiene level 1. Both managers and chefs all have food hygiene diplomas.
Staff numbers vary from 2 to 12 depending on the event size. Most importantly, our staff are loyal because they enjoy the events we attend, hence customers receive excellent service.
Health & Hygiene
We are members of NCASS, a respected trade body and hold £5 million of public liability, £5 million product liability and £10 million employers liability insurance.
Registered with the environmental health department at Stroud and inspected at events at least 5 times a year. We operate an HCAAP system supplied by NCASS.
We aim to be much better than the minimum required standard, after all a clean kitchen sells more food!

Since 2004 we have been building an excellent reputation as an alternative event caterer. We have received much praise from customers and event organisers alike and have been invited back
to every event we've catered for.
Bookings & Enquiries
We have bookings through to 2010, so it is never too early to book! By mid April we are usually fully booked for the summer months.
