If you have used leedsfestival.net to get tickets, get in touch with bank or credit card company as it is a dodgy firm from Budapest.

It is just so so sad that people are getting ripped off BUT "why oh why" (copyright That's Life) would anybody give credit card details to any old dick with a website.

From Main site:
Beware of unauthorised ticket agencies including eBay, buying from them can be a lot of trouble - You are likely to pay over the odds for a ticket that will have never existed or might never materialise.
Most notable of these sites are:
SOS Ticketmaster (not to be confused withTicketmaster who are the real agent)

cancel your card, then keep checking the boards and the seetickets site for resales. If that doesnt work get over to scarlet mist, and if all else fails, ebay sell at face value in the run up to the fest

Is it just me or are people jumping the gun a bit here?
Its a touting site, yes, but no-one has confirmed that they will not post the tickets - all big banks will probably cough up if you dont get what you ordered, or indeed the payment provider used on the sites.
People who ordered from SOSTM & LF.net IMO should wait until they dont have the tickets they ordered when they should before worrying too much...
The larger more well known tout sites are the exact same, you dont know till basically the day before and it could go either way...

basically just saying they're touts but they gaurantee your ticket. if you get a confimation email, but then get no tickets, they say you get a refund.
if they actually do that thouhg is the question. good luck!

Thing is, going on stories posted on here & seen on Watchdog, the time you officially 'don't have your ticket' is when the bloke you're supposed to be meeting on the day, at the site, doesn't turn up.
Granted you can go to a 'proper' tout then, but you have to have £150+ (or whatever) in cash to give them.

I bought two tickets from leedsfestival.net. Then saw all this and got worried. Is it a bogus company? Or a tout? Very much 2 different things. Surely if it was bogus they would be shut down?

Hi,
I bought some tickets for the Leeds Festival on the following site:
www.leedsfestival.net. I have since heard this site is a scam setup by a company in Budapest. It has your logo on the bottom, can you give me any information on the company. There are no contact details, I have emailed a query as it advises to do so but not had any response.
Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
Thanks
Joey.

If you type 'leeds festival' in to Google it's the top sponsored link, which makes it appear official. I think a lot of people are going to be caught out.
