I wouldn't say I love being cold and wet, but my annoyance at being cold and wet is far outweighed by my happiness of being at Glastonbury.

yep, I'd still go even if as bad as last year...although this year I'm getting more comfy wellies than my old man's last year which didn't fit particularly well, the pain from blisters I tell ye, the pain!!!!

Can't vote for either. Those who prefer rain/cold/mud (or assert it makes no difference
) are MAD, but even if it is muddy I'd far rather be at Glasto than not.

I made the mistake of borrowing my friends wellies, whos a farmer, in 04 and discovered when I got there that they had steel capped toes. About day 3 they started to feel VERY heavy. I was hoping for the opportunity to root someone up the arse with them but no joy and not really in the Glasto spirit I was told.

way i see it is, regardless of weather, glorious sun shine or piss poor rain, its still much better than a shitty summer holiday in europe.
This is my first post of this year, this forum always manages to get me really giddy and excited for the last weekend in june. Its seems so far away but it will soon creap up.

i wouldnt say i like the cold and rain but dont mind putting up with it
and it would be to late to go on a holiday after spending all my money on being there to find it cold and wet

Well you're all more up for it than me, i must be i'm getting old (30)
I can believe people would still go through all the stress of ticket day, if they knew for certain appalling weather is guaranteed.
I've been to more wet ones than sunny , and always manage to enjoy myself dispite the conditions.

I don't love being cold and wet but last year was my first Glastonburyand the place blew me away so I really don't think tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes etc could put me off

i agree
I've been to two glastonburys and both have been very wet, but i still loved every minute of both. It really shows what a great festival glastonbury is when you look at the fact that people would still want to come back year after year even though they know its probably going to rain.

i cant vote cos neither apply really. Id dislike it to rain as much as it did last year, deffinatly. But i dont know if it would stop me going. Last year i beleive i was at abit of a dis-advantage as id only given birth a few of weeks before and was still very anemic, weak and sore. (complicated birth)
This time round i hope to be alot fitter.

I hope you've made yourself a suitable training schedule to get you ready to drink twice as much this year to make up for last year

I've only been to 2 Glastos (2008 & 2009) and it rained at the start of both of them, but then was scorching towards the end. Rain sucks big time but it makes you appreciate the sun more.

i'd rather be wet and muddy than not be at a festival at all. but obviously i prefer dry and sunny weather.
