Couldn't be more obvious really:
Mon 23-06 Rotterdam, Ahoy
Thu 26-06 Belfast, Odyssey Arena
Fri 27-06 Belfast, Odyssey Arena
[GIT BIG MASSIVE GAP!!!]
Sat 05-07 Glasgow, S.E.C.C. (0870 040 4000)
Sun 06-07 Glasgow, S.E.C.C.
My bet is the Sunday night headline slot, given that Saturday is nailed on for Radiohead.
Two down then... who's getting the Friday I wonder???

I'd like to think Bruce. Or the Cure.
Or Neil Young

Muse for Friday?
would be pretty nice if that happened...
Fri-Muse
Sat-Radiohead
Sun-Kylie Minogue.
sounds quite nice.

What no Bruce? He will be around, Paris on the Fri I think. I guess Eavis has him in mind.
I have to admit I prefer your choice and poss more likely Kylie Sun if she playing elsewhere the Fri nite.
Kylie over Bruce Springsteen?? Of course who to say Kylie has to be headline she could be 2nd headline to Springsteen
Also, where would The Cure play if asked to do Glasto again. They'd have to be headline perhaps Muse Other stage (yes I know they are too big and sold out Wembley) Note The Cure finish their US tour the week before Glasto.
Perhaps The Cure Fri nite with Muse 2nd headliner on Pyramid??

im actually starting to think the Friday night will be more kid friendly.
If Saint Michael was going on about wanting more kids around he may book somthing along those lines, somthing with lots of NME coverage.
Razorlight?
Possiblilty i reckon
i dont think Muse will play this year personally after i have had a think.
they only headlined in 2003.
and Friday is usally reserved for a band that arnt as massive as the other two.
Arctic Monkeys
White stripes sort of thing.

Bruce could still play Glasto on the sat/sun, Paris isnt far. And as for the cure/muse, granted the cure sold out Wembley arena, but Muse sold out Wembley stadium...twice.
And im sure the cure said the wembley gig was there only uk show in 2008.

Not sure that history supports this view. Oasis & REM have both played on a Friday in recent years.

My gut feeling is we will defo have either Radiohead, Muse, or The Cure as Pyramid headliner next year.
Those 3 have got to be amongst the seven acts that Eavis had in mind to ask and select from.
And now all this talk of Kylie
& possibly Bruce Springsteen
Perhaps Muse won't figure in the line-up next year then?
On the basis that if they don't headline they are too big to play support or The Other stage.
I assume not many of us on the forums are gonna be Kylie fans, however she was scheduled to headline before but obviously had to pull out because of the cancer thing. Therefore the Organisers see her as a Glasto headliner and I say why not? She has been an iconic pop star for a long time now.
I think it is great that Glasto can offer this diversity and have a major star like Kylie headline!
Whether i choose to see her or not is another thing cos we all know we will have a dozen or more other acts performing at the same time.

Im just thinking of Shirley Bassey when i think of Kylie.
The 7 acts though are; REM, Bruce, Muse, Kylie, Verve, Radiohead, Cure.
Literally the only reason Bruce wont play, is because Bruce dont want to play. If he said, sure id love to, he'd be booked in an instant. Just traditionally, he doesnt do festivals, he doesnt even do support acts at his gigs (prefers to just play the whole 3 hours himself)

I'm sure you're right, but I never thought The Stones would play a festival either....
Looks like Bruce is playing Copenhagen on the Sunday, and Paris Friday, and the rumour was that he'd be doing London on the Saturday (which makes for a busy weekend)...

How about Rage? They played a few fests in USA last year and are headlining Big Day Out in Australia early next year. Gotta come to Europe some time.

So you think rage would only play Glasto for Big Bucks. I think you would be surprised. I don't expect them to be on the line up but I think the political slant fits with some of Glastos principals. There more likely to play Reading/Leeds.
