When asked in our local student paper in Exeter, Editors bassist Russell Leetch said they'd be playing 'All the festivals'. So possibility they may play Reading & Leeds me thinks?

Editors came pretty close in 2005, but that was when the back room came out, and were still a realitvely small band. Now that there much bigger (4th headliners, maybe higher), they could probably only play TITP, Glasto and maybe one other.
I think they could play next year though, i dont think theyve done the CW for a few years, perhaps ever. Still think V is more likely.

Very good chance of Reading methinks. They've done V for the last 2 years now so surely won't be there again. personally, I don't like their music at all, so hope they don't get too high a slot which I fear they will!

I can easily see them in the Bloc Party spot third from top, and I think they'd fit in pretty well there.

I was disapointed with the new album, but I'd say they're about as big as Bloc Party and would fill that slot nicely. They were pretty good back in 2005 (I think they were in the spot Bloc Pary had in 2004 as well..) so sounds like a good bet.

Top 3 definately. Played V past two years in pretty low spots so would expect they'd want a bigger one.

I do like Editors in short bursts, but they do have me reaching for my R.E.M and Chameleons albums an awful lot. Haven't heard the new album yet mind.

The new album is actually rather good. Reminds me alot of Echo & the bunnymen, i dont know if anybody else picks up on that, but i ceartinly do. They arent pioneer's by any stretch of the imagination, but they can carve out some superb downbeat anthems.
I would like to see them play next year, but only as long as it's not at the expense of other, less obvious bands (weezer...), as i have seen them at least half a dozen times.

I think they'll definately be there, about 4th/5th from top?

I think they're a really good band, id much rather see them have a high mainstage slot than some of these identikit, indie pop bands.

They're a very good band live, I'm glad I got to see them in a small venue before they became popular though, it was an extremely intense experience.

I think they'll take the spot interpol had last year, and babyshambles will take bloc partys spot. In fact, ill be surprised if that isnt the case.

I concur.
Although id rather have Interpol headline the NME Tent, there a band that suits the darkness like interpol. There was something very strange about seeing Interpol in broad daylight (or greylight) this year.

I thought Editors and Babyshambles top 3, but then I thought maybe The Fratellis could though I suppose they could be 4th.
