We have now booked our flights for this mad exciting festival :(

We will be flying out on the Thursday and back on the Tuesday, around Easter weekend. Luton to Malaga, for cheapness .... :)

Boris, about to contact you.

Can someone give us an indication how rough the ground is onsite?? May be tough to pitch a tent perhaps ...

I believe the temps in the hills near Granada in mid/late March won't be excessively hot at all -- early 20s Centigrade in the daytime?

But I've never been to Spain (YET!) so others may be able to confirm more exactly.

Molly, we'll be meeting up with Boris and Mrs Boris so will most likely meet up with you as well at some point.

hmmm.... does anyone know where i should get the bus to from Madrid? all the info on the website about getting there seems to assume everyone is arriving from *outside* spain, lol.... i just can´t work out the nearest place for a bus! :)

wow this sounds amazing. Myself and a mate are going to go. We will fly into granada.

Does anybody want to join us in hiring a car/van.

What time does the festival start... is it in the evening and then non-stop for 24 hrs?

Are there any nice places to stay nearby afterwards like a half decent cheap hotel (to mix the rough with the smooth!)

Been huntin round for ages, tryin to decide how to get to the festi. Finally decided: Flights from stansted to almeria with easyjet £170 then rent car from almeria airport for £50 (£25 each between me n matey). VOILA!!!

Any further advice people offering out? Any idea what weather to be expecting?

well i can´t personally vouch for any local accomodation, but i found these links which may be useful to you:

http://www.orgiva.org/hotels.html

Search results from www.hotels.com when i typed Orgiva and the dates for Sunday + Monday ....hotels.com is a great website for cheap deals on good hotels in spain

of course, if you´re like me you might want to explore a bit of Granada afterwards, so you could look for accomodation there instead.

hope that helps!

Looks like we're sorted for accomodation in Granada before and after the festival.:) (Boris check latest PM).

Samuwel6 asked about the weather ... I'm not too sure, but by Easter the weather in Southern Spain should have become pretty pleasant -- early 20s C in the daytime? With plenty of chance of sunshine.

But the festival site is in the hills, so I'm also expecting it to be quite chilly at night, this early in the year.

all booked and ready to go now! Watched a few video's of the festival from youtube, most showing happy party folk and beautiful blue sky's with lovely scenery but a few showing some nasty police brutality. Anyone know the cause of the aggressiveness from the police?
