stuartbert two hats
I went along to laugh about Kes, but found no-one else was laughing. Then he was brilliant.
CaledonianGonzo
Corbyn accoubts for some of it, but I think it still emptied out a bit when The David finished. We arrived during his wee DJ / karaoke bit and it was ram-a-roonied.
Amy Lawn
I arrived for Corbyn and he was really good, took me about half hour to get into the crowd. RTJ were better though.

CaledonianGonzo
It can't all have been ironic bantzlordz on the hunt for epic lolz though. I'm more surprised that younger folk would give much of a monkeys about him.
CaledonianGonzo
By way of contrast I'm watching a clip of Tove Lo doing Lady Wood and there's no fucker there.

Well at least there's one crowd size we can pinpoint the exact reason for.

CaledonianGonzo
He was going through his wee spell as flavour of the month so that was at least predictable, if not wholly understandable.
Hugh Jass
Corbyn was a factor definitely, but he’s also a name the vast majority would have heard of and known at least one or two of his tunes, plus the Bo Selecta thing. He was also on pretty early with nothing really against him so I imagine loads of people went along for a laugh.

CaledonianGonzo
Yeah....it was packed. Though Jessie J and The Stranglers also both stowed the Other out in recent memory.
Hugh Jass
I was stuck in the gridlock on the Railway Track when Rag was on, it was absolutely mental.

Not everyone, no, but Glastonbury's record shows that if there's an ironic bant to be had then it's gonna be a bumper crowd.
CaledonianGonzo
The bantz must have been sub-optimal at best.

Even when he was pretty quiet for a few years his songs generally seem to have stuck around, I'm 22 and while he's not particularly by thing I've always known his songs and been familiar with him. fatyeti24
it was karma. karma repaying him positively for the years of (oft deserved) micky taking and his acceptance and understanding of why that happened, which transformed him from some young bellend insistant on singing his own name in every song he touched into some sort of mockery-owning, post modern national treasure lite. plus, you know, the weather was nice, he has some tunes and Corbyn was on next. at the time i put it down to me being old and just not understnding these things as i once did, but i've put a bit of thought in and invented a conclusion i'm happy with. 1

Alex DeLarge
The fact that garage has come back a bit probably added to it. Of course the bantz was the main factor though.
