About the Gorillaz topic, don´t forget that they are still in the HUMANZ Tour, and that tour went all around europe as you can see (they are in leg 3 this summer)

Dunno man. Dunno if we'll have them. I hope so and I still think there's merit to the idea but we'll have to see

I actually was very sceptical about Gorillaz coming, but after what Gabi said about NPS lineup "this the most ambitious lineup we´ve ever done" I´m starting to believe that they can come and would be great to have Vince Staples on that day too so that they could perfome together a couple of songs.

He also had said that NPS would "go its own way" when comparing to barcelona's PS

Yes, I mean last year they´ve bringed Nicolas Jaar and Justice, if this year he says that it will go on its way then it´s for sure will have more than 2 different names that PS. Maybe Thom Yorke, Gorillaz and another names, who knows, but I´m starting to believe all this Gorillaz thing.

What about Vampire Weekend? The last time they came to Portugal it was on NOS Alive and the festival ticket was 105 euros aswell and they weren´t even a headliner, I know it´s strange for them coming to Porto and not coming to Barcelona but just a possibility

Mentioned them before. I'd love them here but idk if that would be too much to ask for. Gorillaz are more likely than them tbh... I hope they don't go to Paredes de Coura

It’s much too soon for them.

The first gig back they’ve announced is practically September. So they’re not going to be playing in Porto in June.

I would not follow that logic. Obviously NPS has a specific schedule to follow... They wouldn't announce a show just because of them. But yeah, still, you would've guessed that vampire weekend would have been announced by other festivals. Nevermind I just destroyed my own argument hahaha

I think the only suprises we can have will come from the sonar barcelona. I can see Vampire Weekend headlining Paredes de Coura

I can´t imagine Paredes bringing Bjork, Vampire Weekend, Skepta and Fleet Foxes. It´s too expensive for them, but if they do that, it will be for sure one hell of a lineup

Am I right in believing that Gorillaz are only being talked about because they are on tour? There's no actual reason to believe that they would play over any other band who are touring at the moment (and not playing elsewhere)?

I also agree they seem too big.

It's based on the most tenuous and ridiculous speculation (such as because Vince Staples is likely to be there, he is likely to put in a good word with Gorillaz about NPS..).

They're too big, too expensive - can we talk about something realistic instead?

The last several years of NPS you get an extra special lineup with a density of quality - but you don't get big expensive names with big expensive entourages like Gorillaz.

Has Beck been ruled out?

He could play (it would have to be on the 8th) and he's playing TINALS which has a similar type of budget/feel.

Only reason to think not is Gabi's criticism of him - not sure whether this bad feeling is extended to the Porto bookers. Hopefully not.

One thing i learned yesterday from people inside the festival,  every band that the portuguese directors want to have in the line up,  they need to have the acceptance from the spanish side.  Based in this, i think the possibilities of Beck coming to NPS are very low

That's good to know. He's out then - shame.
