the wonderwhy
The National are also in Helsinki over this weekend so as they're playing Northside on the Friday it only leaves one day open for BKS
Orens
LCD Soundsystem are playing Luxembourg on the Saturday, probably BKS-bound?

mellowmaniac
With two confirmed shows in Scandinavia at the weekend of BKS I think The National aren't that likely anymore for BKS. With the NOS Alive show on 13.07. they seem to be easily available for DTRH instead. Björk, LCD Soundsystem and Nick Cave are all around at the time of BKS and have only one show confirmed at the time of BKS (so far). The three of them would be my 2018 dream headliner trio, but it's probably not that likely that all three of them will be booked. I'd say two of the three are pretty realistic with an additional third smaller headliner. The XX would schedulewise be available for both festivals. The company behind Northside and Sideways in Helsinki also produce BKS, which works in our favour re: The National. Denmark > Finland > Netherlands does seem like a silly touring schedule though

Still, three days in a row in three different countries for The National... I also start having my doubts.

Still early for the August festivals, but they could easily headline Lowlands - just like they have in 2014 after headlining Primavera Sound and Northside. They toured Europe all summer long. Both Lowlands and DTRH are run by Mojo.
mellowmaniac
New for Roskilde (30.06.-07.07.): Gorillaz, David Byrne, Fleet Foxes, First Aid Kit (and more) Timingwise Roskilde is more relevant for DTRH, but it puts a couple of new acts onto the June festival watchlist. (I'd be more than happy to see David Byrne again.)

Given that Northside and BKS always seem to have a lot of crossover and the National maybe looking a little less likely I'm thinking Bjork would be where my money would be going to predict one headliner. What about Father John Misty as smaller headliner? Also at Northside. My personal preference would be three of Bjork, National, LCD, Gorillaz, XX but I would expect 2 out of those at most. mellowmaniac
Mad Cool (12.-14.07.) confirmed a couple of bands. Depeche Mode, Queens OTSA, Massive Attack, Jack Johnson, Fleet Foxes, MGMT, Future Islands, Real Estate. Even later than Roskilde these confirmations don't mean a lot to BKS, but show that Massive Attack and MGMT are playing festivals this summer. (Massive Attack might be at DTRH to do the previously canceled show)
