jamj
Just had the email through that asks you for your suggestions for 2018, it also says they've sold half of next years tickets already

Skids, Buzzcocks, Stranglers, Rezillos, Penetration, Upstarts, SLF. Not so punkish but Echo and the Bunnymen, Squeeze big shout for SLF I put them down every year on the "who do want at kendal" poll
Pooly JP
Another vote for SLF. also had email about suggestions for 2018 but that says sign in via facebook to leave your thoughts, no good to me as i dont use it. Judging by the bemused looks i got of people during this years festival when asked if i was on Facebook I'm beginning to think i'm the only person not on there. RossendaleR
Did my usual the Cult & Spear of Destiny, plus the Killers and the Human League this time.
4AssedMonkey
PSB are awesome live but it needs to be dark or in a tent for the light show to have impact. Can't see them having a headline spot really. Be great headlining the Woodlands though. I'd punch myself in the balls to see Depeche Mode at a festival. Possible for next year? They are on the road.... Black Grape also touring with new material in 2018. That would be worth a watch. Not sure where they'd slot in though. If I could pick ANY 3 from a wish list, I'd probably go Depeche Mode, Doves and Jeff Lynne's ELO. Neeeeevveeeer gonna happen though. Boo. Port-a-loo Pete
I missed a bit of hip hop this year, after having the likes of Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy and Sugarhill Gang in recent years I'd like to see a 50 Cent or Eminem next year. I also echo the thoughts that the Prodigy would be awesome. As for saying KC couldn't afford acts, surely if they can afford the likes of Snoop Dogg, Noel Gallagher then there can't be too many acts out of their reach ?? Danos6
I reckon Mumford and Sons might make an appearance and maybe Paolo Nutini. Rick Astley as the token oldie act

ramragon
Maybes not headline acts but I caught Band of Horses and Jesus and Mary chain at a festival last weekend and they were both excellent,
Comfy Bean
No idea on cost or popularity with the yoof but went to see Sleaford Mods last night and for me they would be a brilliant booking to headline Calling Out.

I went to Electric Fields the other month and caught Jesus and Mary Chain, couldn't see them headline Kendal but they were excellent. jamj
eeeeeh @ramragon no hurry from me, I think I'm just chompin at the bit......maybe far too early to be fair.......BUT like you've said you've seen noted acts this year....what is seen and is good is surely to be noted by various others and booked accordingly! subject to dates of course.......we totally missed KC this year for the 1st in 6yrs and are already having our own 'lets guess and probs be miles off' line up conversations already

rhubarb
My headliner guess would be; Thurs - shed seven fri - catfish & the bottlemen sat - Nile Rogers & Chic or the Libertines sun - Liam Gallagher

tezshields
I’d be well pleased with some 90’s dance headliner like The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers but I just can’t see it happening. I’d take Ocean Colour Scene or White Lies but only as a Thursday nighter. For me they fit the Franz Ferdinand and Happy Mondays gap left last year. Overall I’m quietly hopeful for a few nice surprises.

Was strange atmosphere as he was clearly struggling .

Think you were at a different set sir. That moment when he clearly couldn't do the chorus so all of us sang for him and he just played and smiled was just amazing

I vaguely remember the feeling was he wouldn’t be able to finish the set and feeling sorry for the fella. I always like a bit of OCS :-)
