Not sure how much to trust critics when a quick google of hybrid theory reveals pretty poor ratings. It's a brilliant album! A linkin park greatest hits set would be a worthy headline slot IMO.

Nu-metal was utterly derided in most quarters when it came to critics back then. Still is. Think an element of snobbery comes into it

So over the last few years, many famous people have passed away. This one hit me the hardest, and are by far the best band I have seen live. Chester was something else, his stage presence, his voice was unbelievable.

I will forever be saddened by this, and regret not seeing them more.

Hope he has finally found peace.

The quick 1-2 of Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington has hit me harder than any other celebrity deaths. Not kept up with their recent works but they were both huge deals to me as a teenager, and them dying of old age/a disease/an accident is one thing, but as somebody who suffers quite badly from depression and used these guys music to help with that growing up, them killing themselves is a tough pill to swallow, especially Chris' bizarre circumstances, and Chester's quite clearly being related.

I'd disagree, they sound brilliant live and easily big enough to headline. I think it would go down like Metallica - loads of moaners and then they'd kill it.

I tend to agree - they did have a period of being in the wilderness, but their big tunes are still pretty popular and i think that they could of headlined. Each to their own though - that's what makes this forum and the festival so appealing.
