Been at a standstill (West 58) for 2 1/2 hours so far.

There is a coach broken down outside the pub in pilton which is not helping traffic. Got three coppers in charge so as you can imagine, it is going swimmingly......

I'm sure that I've left these fields through a back exit onto a lane before. We all seem to be queuing for the main road today.

Left West 47 through some back lanes at about 02.00 this morning. It takes you well out the way but at least it keeps you moving. Main road looked at nightmare even in the wee hours.

Apparently there's also an accident on the northbound M5. Wouldn't be surprised if we're being intentionally held back because of that. Either way it can't help. 

Just had a dirty burger though, which has improved the mood in this car.

We did this last year, on the way in and out. Beat the queues both times on the Tuesday night, and out on the Monday morning. 

This year in purple parking. Left at 7.50am today, home in Bedfordshire by 11.30.

Why would you just sit in your car with your engine running for so long? Plenty round me doing it

A couple of people have just come through West 55 saying that another gate will be opened in 30/40 minutes. There is hope!
