The Beer in here

Prices went from £4.60 to £5.00 for a pint, I'd previously just assumed the prices were set and everyone charged the same. Theatre Bar had Carlsberg Export at £4.80, whilst others had the normal stuff for £5. Odd.

All in all, want offended by any of the beers this year. All the larger was cold and the real ale tent had a good (if dwindling at the weekend progress) selection and wasn't too badly priced.

Just came here to say the same thing. How can 500 metres make such a difference in price for the same pint of beer!

John Peel bar ran out of beer several times on Sunday - every time we went to the bar they said they were tapping and waiting for the barrel to settle.

However, all the bars I went to were serving pretty quickly so I am not complaining this year

So was Tuborg a gonner this year? But only to be replaced by Carlsberg. One step forward, two steps back. Ended up just drinking cider all weekend as it was far more refreshing.

Don't think I'll be bringing no beer with me again though - spent far too much money on that shit and missed just being able to crack one open upon waking.

I'm a lager drinker who enjoys Estrella , Birra Moretti Sam Adams and every bar I went to only severed Carlsberg so wasn't willing to pay best part of five pounds for that cat piss.

Tried Brothers Cider for first time, was fantastic, can't believe I've never tried it before.

All thanks to Carlsberg!
