Besticle
Hey, kids. We have family within 40 mins of Worthy Farm and two wee kiddywinks in tow. D'you reckon it'd be feasible to commute daily by car - we have the sticky car park pass. Then we could turn up bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and freshly-laundered each morning and head off when the ankle-biters are too pooped to continue. Is there any rule against this? Only half the festival experience for sure, but don't want to put them off - Glasto prob family overwhelming anyway. Many, many thanks! frostypaw
Absolutely nothing to stop you - people have been staying in the local hotels and off-site for years and doing the same.
Besticle
Thanks, Frostypaw. Mud forecast is looking favourable, so hopefully wouldn't require paying farmer to drag me out every evening either...

Be mindful that you'll be parked furthest away from the site most days, and it'll be quite a trek to do there and back every day, especially at night with the nippers! phil the shrew
Definately can be done but, and it is a big but, be prepared to be parked a long long way from the main gates which could lead to a long walk each morning or evening, and when leaving Wednesday to Saturday night the car parks are not flood lighted and it's hard to find your car! (Been there done that stumbling around east 40 at 2am isn't good) Much better bet is the shuttle bus from Glastonbury Town, Wells, Shepton Mallet or the Show Ground. Park up in one of the towns or get dropped off at the show ground (you can't park there) and buses are frequent and run till late at night, much less stressful than driving
TheNewUnion
Did it 3 years ago when I broke my collar bone 2 weeks before the festival. Stayed in Shepton, not 40 miles away but in and out daily was fine and certainly doable
Besticle
Thanks for the sound advice, folks. It's Glasto No.5 for me, but the first with nippers and the first involving commuting. Looks like a dry one, anyway.....
