I would've had a full firing LFC side in the title race. Certainly not out of it by October anyway. But the defence is so bad its not a runner. First time in ages that I don't think they'll be able to handle the Utd attack. The boring, boring Utd attack who have scored 21 goals in 7 games.

BTW Neil, Klopp has spent 150m on 13 players, won nothing and has a worse record than Brendan across all metrics.

Depends if he parks the bus or not.

It's an odd one as you say. Can't see it confirmed anywhere but he's out I think.

With the injuries already he would have been involved Thursday and Sunday.

Hes not a starter normally as you say but he plays at a level way above the majority of our squad.

He's our best player at the moment. Wonder if Rafa asked him to miss it.

Brilliant attacking goal. Terrible defending means we concede from the oppositions only shot. It's getting slightly boring now.

We had more shots on target than you did!

Fair comment. Exaggerated slightly but it's the same story of us (mostly) dominating a game yet still dropping points. Embarrassing defending yesterday. Good ball by Shelvey to be fair to him but there is no way that should have been allowed to happen.

(You guys are looking good early on... hopefully it continues as I have money on you finishing above Everton :D )

Coutinho's goal aside, the shots your lot were making were atrocious. Completely comfortable in the middle of the park but awful in both boxes. The defending for our goal was shockingly bad.

We're doing okay. Might've got something out of the game vs Spurs if Shelvey hadn't been an idiot, slightly unlucky in 1-0 losses at Huddersfield and Brighton, but our strikers haven't looked like scoring outside the West Ham game. And I still don't think Eliot should be a first choice keeper for a Prem club.

Seems slightly harsh to me, that. He is actually looking away and flings his arm up to complain but has absolutely no idea the ref is lowering his hand at the same time. Mad.

Slightly?! Complete joke, no two ways about it! He flicks his hand towards the ref in a dismissive action and the ref brings his hand down at the same time causing the two to clash. To think that deserves a red is pure stupidity.

Pretty much everywhere.

All 3 of the title challengers missing big players over the next month or so.

Damn. Thats two crunch Champions League games against Roma and the big one versus United. Conte will have to go with Batshuayi upfront now, none of that no out and out striker experimentation. He's managed to score a few this season but his hold up play and general all round game is often criticised. Time to step up, Michy!

Slightly awkward though, seeing as we now only have one striker in the squad. Morata was always going to be prone to an injury - having never been a regular before and now playing in an intense league with games coming thick and fast.

So .... who fancies Barca in the Prem?

Rather laughably, the team who support Catalan independence don't support themselves doing what the FIFA rules say of them playing in a national league. Instead they're talking about joining the French, Italian or English leagues.

How do berwick rangers &  Swansea get away with it?

with a historical exemption from FIFA, same as the exemptions which allows there to be 'national' footie teams for England, Scotland, Wales and NI.

If you paid attention you might have noticed that FIFA doesn't do new exemptions, and that FIFA is trying to make the exemptions which do exist better-fit within FIFA structures rather than degrading those structures. No new exemptions have been granted for decades, and FIFA's rules don't allow them to be.

C'mon, FFS .... the only reason Celtic and Rangers still play in Scotland is because Scotland knows it'd lose its 'national' team if it changed.

La ligas president and real madrid fan javier tabas says that if there is indie, catalan sides will be ejected from La liga. Its not Barca's choice to stay
