I've bought 2 packs and the shipping charges are 22 €. I am not sure how useful are those "preferential access" included, but even the souvenirs are enough for me to consider the pack a good deal (as you've said)

Madcool will have about half the names Primavera has so not even vaguely comparable to the strength in depth of PV plus the new site looks pretty charmless. No possibility of staying in a nice part of town nearby either.

That said, the lineup does look strong and they've done a good job especially for a new-ish festival. Maybe in 5 years, it could be as good (at least in terms of lineup and organisation)?

Next Year they will have about 150 acts on the bill, in 7 stages.

Looks like you’re more or less right.

Still primavera is more than 50% bigger in crowd numbers - 55000 a day to mad cool’s 35000.

They’ve only added 2 stages to the 5 of last year when they had 60 acts which is why I thought the band numbers would be low - so they must be extending the hours too as they’re now going for 130/140 bands.

Mad Cool is trying to get 65k ppl this year -and by no means the crowd size looks to me as a valuable criteria tbh-. Regardless, their line-up seems closer to Coachella's without the one-million-dollar acts rather than Primavera's. Some people said two years ago that Gabi & co had gone crazy without a single announcement til January and passes sold out in two weeks. The same people -very attached to Mad Cool within just a year, curious- said the next year that MC had stealed some bands (Wilco, Slowdive and so) and Primavera passes sold out in a little more than month. So: don't be distracted by their noise and don't worry about Primavera :)

Thanks for your help guys - tickets purchased, flights and accommodation all booked ......just need a lineup now.

If the bookers read this - there's some great Scottish bands on the go the now....Baby Strange, White, Rascalton - get them over and we'll have a right party.

Don't think sadly this means we'll get the poster any sooner.

"There are a few important enough touches to delay the announcement for a few weeks. Also, there is no hurry."
