PorkSoda
Hi Everyone Seen the crows nest mentioned a few times on these boards and it sounds cracking. What sort of bands tend to play there and is it open late? Any likely candidates from this years line up likely to play?
edwardjc14
Have a look at their twitter page and scroll through the pictures of the bands that have played before, gives you a good idea, Heavenly Recordings have a quite a bit to with the tent so expect any of King Gizzard, Amber Arcades or Temples to play, oh and Jagwar Ma they seem to play it every year! phillyfaddle
It's not on the map this year, nor the listings. Are we sure it's going to be there?

Looks like it, the Free University is there, unless it's somewhere else this year http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/line-up-2017/?stage#freeuniversityofglastonbury

mph
Do they release the line up and times for The Crow's Nest ?
StLewi
They don't normally release the line-up until the morning of each day, which is a little annoying, but probably stops masses of people showing up. Jagwar and King Gizzard will almost certainly be there. Edited June 2, 2017 by StLewi

Fancy Nick Mulvey, Kate Tempest, All We Are, Pumarosa and other Speedy Wonderground bands/alumni/friends too

Rumblestripe
One of my very favourite places in the festival, I may on occasion just wander uup there and take pot luck to see who might be playing. Michael Kiwanuka played there last year and was fantastic (if a little busy!) and Gruff Rhys the year before. Great memories.

Pretty sure one of them was supposed to be on the lineup & isn't, actually

Mash011
Very fond of this stage despite its obvious accessibility issues. The Parrots were a surprise highlight on there last year that came completely out of nowhere. Will definitely have an eye kept on it, especially the inevitable King Gizz set (all 3 sets baby!). paulshane
when did they stop publishing the lineup? I'm sure i remember it being in the guide ? Had great fun in 2015 watching one of the founders of QI chatting for an hour or so. it was packed!

That one just makes us look lazy when we complain about the steep climb to the crows nest!

After seeing The Parrots in Newcastle I also decided to catch them at the Crows Nest last year and it was good to see they bring the same energy to every show they put on, great band

Bisque
Is there a bar near the Crows Nest? I assume it's just a bit further up the hill from The Park area? Edited June 2, 2017 by Bisque

mario man
Love this place, one of my favourite 'new' places that have emerged in the last few years. Saw Toy play an extremely loud set a few years ago and Gruff Rhys back in 2014 was wonderful

Yeah it's just across a bit. No longer have to drink galleons of tea while up at Crow's Nest.

Divein
Line up gets written on the chalkboard every morning and then they tweet a picture of it out. Because this is my favourite part of Glastonbury I've gone back and grabbed the line ups each day for the last 2 years pretty much to give you an idea of the type of bands who play. The guy who runs crows nest is Jagwar Mas agent which is why they are always there. Edited June 2, 2017 by Divein

Apparently they hauled all of their gear up that hill just 30 mins before the start of that set. How I miss them
