defrio29
So....am I the only one who's very excited for this one? I've seen him a couple of years ago, but 'Honeybear' kept on growing, and 'Pure Comedy' is definitely a top contender for AOTY so far... Where and when do you think he'll play? Pyramid Stage before The National? Dream Setlist: 1. Pure Comedy 2. Total Entertainment Forever 3. The Night Josh Tillman... 4. Things It Would Be Helpful To Know Before The Revolution 5. I Love You, Honeybear 6. Leaving LA 7. Holy Shit 8. Bored in the USA 9. Chateau Lobby 10. Ballad of the Dying Man 11. Real Love Baby

If he's on that stage I'd expect like 6th down. Otherwise around 4th/5th down Other.
e2p2
I think many people were disappointed of his last effort, especially after the success of Honeybear.
Amy Lawn
Pundits are already calling Teresa May's Dementia Tax, "the Pure Comedy of policies".
Tuna
Totally forgot he was playing. Early doors on one of the big two, probably.

Hoping for something like this although going for Leaving LA would take balls of steel.. Probably be one for the tour later on, the rest of it you are probably bang on the money. Looking forward to seeing some Pure Comedy live, sounded really decent at Coachella. Fingers crossed he's bringing the choir, brass etc for his slot! Is he definitely on the Saturday then? Bonaneas
Nailed on for the park stage. Head or sub.
Bonaneas
And by nailed on I mean a random, inaccurate guess based on nothing other than half assed opinion and him being a 'radio 6 playlist type' which the park is very biased towards. I'll be watching if no major clashes.
Harmonic Prospector
I doubt very much that he will shun his first album completely. Think we will definitely see Holywood Cemetery Sings and Nancy make an appearance. I am huge FJM fan and his appearance on the Park a couple of years ago was one the main highlights that year, but the new album I have found to be dull as dishwater compared to Honeybear and Fear Fun. brendan84
Not a big fan of the new album l0ved the last one and saw him on the h0neybear tour so will see him as long as not a massive clash

char90
I like him, been listening to him a lot lately but I believe he can be a bit tempermental live. And by tempermental I mean a bit of a knob.
JacquelineS
I am looking forward to seeing him! Ha! Ha! Char when i saw him he threw his guitar in the audience. Someone caught it though.

Don't imagine that went down to well, the crowd this year for 6 music seemed flat as a pancake as it was.. I really like PC and I'm not sure I'd wish for that in a festival set. I'm behind whoever suggested Ideal Husband, bin Leaving LA and stick that in as the closer.
CaledonianGonzo
He didn't quite die on his arse, but I suspect a fair few folk left the room less of a Papa John Peasoup fan than when they entered it. tbf it was about 3 in the afternoon. TomViolence
Looking forward to this too but hoping he's not too early. The OP's setlist looks believable but I'd put Ideal Husband and Babylon in somewhere
AmyShambles
Listened to a bit of his stuff, will definitely be watching him. Great video of him covering The Suburbs on YouTube, love his voice.

The songs on the new record stand up fantastically on isolated listens but as a full album listen, it's a slog - and I'm a stickler for a full album. However, live shows are obviously not generally full albums so I'm looking forward to his appearance at the farm.
danmarks
Don't get your hopes up. Last time I saw him it was the whole new album and one unreleased track off the next album that he hasn't started recording yet. But would knows- he could totally change it all by then . OddRon
Really hope we don't get too much Pure comedy apart from total entertainment forever I cant enjoy any of it when he toured early last year he did the perfect setlist including the NiN cover and ideal husband but sadly not the night josh Tillman came home so need to hear that
