Its the final countdown

This thread does not relate to the tv show on channel 4

 

so what things does everyone use to countdown to the festival ? There are the obvious time countdowns ... but some for me are the last fishtank clean , last prescription ordered and last haircut .. lets have yours ...:)

I get paid a week on Wednesday so that's when the final countdown will really start for me. I'll buy the last few bits and pieces I've been holding off getting and start getting my bag packed. It'll feel real then.

When you start seeing the BBC adverts, that's when it begins.

Every year I use a calendar. When it gets to one day before the festival I know the festival is really close.

Getting my hair cut and coloured next weekend, last before Glastonbury.

But every day is a countdown now to be honest, not a day goes by that I don't mention it at least once

I need to shave my head once a week, so I still have another 5 haircuts between now and Glastonbury. Doesn't sound as impressive

We have an old-school monthly calender in the kitchen that is used to track what each family member is up to. When it's turned over to June, the countdown begins. It's there in ink (was in pencil until the resalesl) - "Dad's holiday".

My piles started a couple of weeks ago .. I'm struggling ( for floor space )

Not a pile as such, but a collection of 'stuff' under the bed, most of it useless accessories. As I'm in a caravan this year don't need to worry so much about the camping gear. Countdown starts June, haircut and colour plus guns n roses weekend before.

It feels so close to me now but I agree just waiting for the final poster before I kick it into high gear. I'll do a prelim pack this weekend followed by a repack next weekend. I'll also be putting my 2 weeks in at work next week (don't know what I'm gonna tell them yet) then off to Croatia for a couple weeks so I'm in the right headspace for a week of nonstop party fun time

 I am currently using Rayman as a countdowb. The most difficult and uncompromising PS1 platformer of all.
