There, Leicester De Montford Hall and Wolves Civic were the mainstays of my gigging in the early to mid 90s. As far as i know only the latter is still used for gigs. Think the Villa Leisure Centre has been knocked down now. The Civic is still going strong though.

Civic and the De Montford are great venues - I love proper 2-tier halls. Saw The Verve at Wolves Civic just before they released "Bitter Sweet Symphony" and it still ranks as one of my best gigs. Sasperella
Well this is all going to be reasonably embarrassing but here goes... First Single: Cotton Eye Joe.. I believe its by a band called The Red Necks? First Album: Spice Girls, Spice First Tape: Probably cotton eye joe again.... :-/ First CD: Hmmmm maybe Now 38?? First Now: Now 30. Full of bangers as I recall...and probably a load of actually good stuff by Radiohead, Portishead etc that I couldnt have given less of a shit about when I was that age... First gig: PJ and Duncan at Kettering Leisure Village when I was about 11. Our parents dropped us off and picked us off later, and my friend got to the front but were getting crushed at the barrier and had to be lifted out by security. I swear, that is all the gods honest truth! Ridiculous though it is... First Glastonbury: 2014...far too late in hindsight First act at Glastonbury: Not sure about the thursday...but Blondie was first proper act I guess. I only lasted two songs as I was brutally hungover and had to puke in a bin before going back for a wee snooze. Start as you mean to go on I suppose... Age: 32 in a matter of days!
