Just wondering what the options are for charging your phone. I know EE did a juice exchange, but I don't think they're doing that any more. Does anyone know if they are? Or are there any alternatives. Thanks :P

something like this ... don't waste your time queuing for any other charging options .. too much going on at the fest for that

You don't need to queue up for a juice bar, at least I never have. Just walk up, hand empty one over, get a charged one back.

no true but you will need to walk to one I guess unless you are camped nearby and phone batteries don't tend to die at most convenient moments  ..( had forgotten about this option though )

Probably depends where you spend your days I suppose. I seem to pass the one by Leftfield several times a day.

The Anker power banks are great. And it means you don't have to spend time queueing/bothering to go to the EE tent. My friend did that in 2015 and it was just a bit of a pain.

Or you could just take a crappy old digital camera and leave your phone in a locker for the festival. It's quite liberating not having the temptation to look at it.

You know what else is great about buying your own power bank, you can use it after the festival too

You can charge as you walk around the house, you don't have to sit next to a plug socket anymore  it's liberating in a way I could never have dreamed

It made my summer of Pokemon Go a whole lot more successful (coincidentally it was also around the same time that I stopped seeing any of my friends).

I struggle enough trying to arrange and meet people when I'm contacting them on a phone, reckon I'd be fucked if I tried to call someone with a camera.

The lock ups do phone charging for a few quid.

Stopped doing it last year.

I got mine charged from solar power in the Green Fields for a fiver. You leave it with them then come back when you want.

I much prefer binning off the phone for 5 days and going old skool- I'm out for the day then, and if I'm off doing things on my own I'll arrange to meet Herself at a certain time and place that suits. I'm more than happy on my own though, I don't want to be contacted at all

Spare batteries

This. Will be taking my old mobile (S5) with two or three spare charged batteries. Kept it in perfect condition luckily with those screen protectors, but at the same time won't be a problem if it's damaged as it's my old one.

The chargers sound a good idea, especially if there cheap (haven't checked?), but going to one of the charging tents - couldn't be doing with that.

Not massively fussed about my phone when I'm there. It's a nice release.

;) maybe I should have specified that my advice was given on the assumption you have a crappy 'festival phone'.
