[Primalcrux]

So HAIM just released a new song and their album will be released on the 7th of July. 

Song is just a teaser for the album, first "real" single will be released on 27th of April

So what do you guys think? I honestly really liked it and now I am even more hyped for the new album!

Sounds great. Saw them at Glasto a few years back and they were awesome. Wouldn't mind seeing them again.Their 2nd album seems to have been a long time coming.

Yes yes yes yes yes it's been SO LONG.

Glad that's not a single because the lyrics leave a lot to be desired, but the way it builds with the drums etc give me great expectations for July 7th

Nice! When they did the colobarative drum solo at the end of "let me go" on their last festival run it was my fav. This is right up my alley and unless there is a major clash I'll be seeing them this year.

I was just about to say this ahah  

 

I like the video, seems like a good performance of the song right down to hearing the pedal stomp and everything. Walked past them in 2014 I think, not incredibly bothered about seeing them but if love to catch The Wire live at some point.

I LOVE Haim! I wasn't there in 2014 so missed them but they are towards the top of my list this year. 

I like the song too - really good! All their songs are kind of like 90's girl group music...but not, if you know what I mean?

Those faces by the bass player are ace! I'd go see them for those alone. Some great tunes too.

I'd be more inclined to give them a fair crack of the whip but would be scared of being in the midst of a crowd mainly geed up to see someone pull a daft face.

2014 was great - they finished right before the big storm. Didn't manage to catch them on tour after, so very much looking forward to their set this year.

To be fair it's not Future Islands bad where the only time the crowd makes any noise is when he dances. 

Unrelated but I saw our boys Holy Esque at a small gig they did last weekend to raise funds for recording their new album. They did 4 new songs which took the probably not unexpected turn of being more synth led and quite dark but generally along the same lines as the first album. Sounded good though so hopefully an album out later in the year.

A thumbs up from me. Looking forward to seeing them this year. The first album was a cracker so the second one has a lot to live up to, that clip was encouraging

Strangest thing about Future Islands is that the crowd at their own gig was much worse for the whole look at the funny man do a funny dance thing, at Glastonbury there was obviously a bit of it but it seemed like people were just there for Seasons and the dance at their own gig. 

I saw Holy Esque at what was one of their last gigs for the first album and it was only a couple of months after the album had came out! I'd imagine they all have jobs so maybe hard to work to get time off for a proper tour but I thought they did a pretty big tour last year throughout England but I guess they maybe didn't play near you.

not sold on this new song and don't really think a stripped back tune is the right way to re-introduce yourself to the world but I've seen them live plenty and know they're a solid proposition & love their old songs so will probably see them again. The park gig was great. They will probably be on the pyramid as a previous poster suggested so may end up avoiding them if that happens.

I dont really know what to expect from the album off the back of this as it doesnt really show you very much. It could either be great or dreadful or somewhere in between
