Other - Open Air - 40,000

West Holts - Open Air - 25,000

I think you've undercooked both of these.

Arcade Fire on the Other Stage was more than 40K, Chic on WH was more than 30K.

My estimates would be the Other can hold 55-60K at a real push. WH 35-40K.

While it may well be possible to pack more in, officially they're 40k and 25k according to a previous licence.

Ah, getcha mate. My examples are at the extreme end of their normal expected volumes...

Anyone in the field for Arcade Fire in 2007 with any feel for crowd capacity of that stage could tell the numbers were significantly above the norm. Similar for Chic. In hindsight both acts should have been shifted "one stage up" to be compliant with this licence. Rare this happens however. They closed the WH and Park fields for Rolf/Pulp on other occasions.

I want to share the article to Facebook, but cannot manage.  Fb responds that it is unable to use the URL.  Any ideas how to get around that?

Sorted. It worked on the iPad...

He hasn't cooked anything, just given it a bit more prominence. ;)

I wish I hadn't started this thread now. I feel like I have a moral responsibility to keep editing the first post with all the info.

Just link it to mine, although I'm done for tonight. There's a limit to even my Glasto nerdery. :)

WH 35-40K.

the WH peeps have said to me in the past that it's 35k.

Tho whether that's what they think the field can hold rather than it's 'official' capacity I'm not sure.

I have a feeling it was said there were 50k in there for Rolf a few years back ... who'd probably have trouble getting just 50 people now.

If they handed out pitchforks on the way in, they'd probably get quite the crowd.

Felt like 50k at Rolf, but also felt like 15k maybe didn't get into the field
