Booked into the Ibis in the city centre! Praying the shits from Hope and glory and Y not are not involved in this festival!!

you scared me enough to go and double check  ....

But it's being done by a team of three different promoters, all of which have a good history and reputation. :)

Moseley Folk Festival (12 years), Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul (8 years) and Lunar Festival (4 years)

Not looking promising for you I'm afraid...

1.) No Alcohol can be brought into the event

2.) No Tory bell-ends will be admitted under any circumstances

3.) No dogs or people who have referred to how long it is to the festival during the run up as 'sleeps' (as in 'its only 3 sleeps until that Tory bell-end free festival in Brum')

Ahhh so it's 1 of those festival's !

one of those types that's millionaire owners invite millionaire Corbyn on stage to talk to all these folk that have spent hundreds of pounds to be entertained by wealthy headline acts about socialism................. defo not my scene it will probably be full of vegetarian marshmallow eating numpties .

Yeah, should be a corker. The noises from the organisers sound positive. Read an interview where they said they know from organising gigs for OCS and Twang before that their fans like to drink so they are making sure there are enough bar staff on. Hopefully they'll realise what goes in must come out so there will be an corresponding increase in number of loos.

Just seen Jesus and Mary Chain have dropped out of Victorious Festival...hope they don't do same for this. Loved their last album

Surprised this hasn't sold out...really hoping the fact it hasn't doesn't lead to cost cutting and we end up with another 'Hope and Glory'...given the organisers experience though quietly optimistic.

Just make sure there are enough bar staff (no 70-80 minute queues like Victorious!) and bogs and people will be happy...

I don't get why festivals are dumb like this. They lose much more in beer they don't sell than they save in staff costs.

Couldn't agree more. If the staff are on minimum wage each member of staff would only have to sell 2 pints @ £5 each an hour and they have paid for themselves (obviously not taking into account cost of the beer, expenses etc). I think a lot of the bar staff do it for free/cheap tickets so it costs them even less. In reality at a busy bar they would probably do a minimum of 20 times that an hour.

We gave up trying to get a drink on the Friday at Victorious and probably spent a minimum of £50 less than we would have done.

Few cheapies flying around for the Sunday ( my best day but there you go) Editors social media platforms had some £25 tickets if anyone's thinking of making a late decision. Seen nothing for Fri and Sat so they must be selling stronger

Beer queues should be OK, the organisers have said they know OCS fans like to drink.  Never had to wait more than a few minutes at Moseley Jazz or Lunar - Purity do the bars there.

Stage splits announced apparently though can't actually see anywhere on any of Beyond The Tracks' official channels.

what I've put up is accurate, it's come from them.

Not disputing it and impressive that you have the scoop! Only just that you can't see the detail anywhere else.

it's not a scoop. It was sent out by their PR firm.

Scoop - "a piece of news published by a newspaper or broadcast by a television or radio station in advance of its rivals."

You're first to publish this!

I have been sent a link for £25 Sunday tickets on the basis that I bought tickets for Friday.

I can forward the link if anyone wants to pm me their email address.

Moseley is ran really well so expecting this to be also. Great lineup for me and just down the road. Unfortunately I fly out to Spain this weekend. Bummer (sort of).

Will be keeping an eye out for after reports and will schedule it in next year for sure.

Wow,  it's worked out perfectly. Get there just in time for pixx, no clashes as alternating stages and two long sets from Leftfield and Orbital.

Assuming it runs to time and for a new festival there may be major problems.

It doesn't look from setlist.fm like Leftfield play any non-Leftism tracks which is a bit disappointing.

Anyone confirm this is the case?

they're currently touring that album in full, which is why the set is the length it is

It's a long album at 69 minutes but they've technically been allocated 105 minutes.

I assume then they will come on late, finish early and extend some of the tracks, rather than play Phat Planet etc.

I know they are playing Leftism in full but often on these 'album runthrough' shows they also play some hits afterwards. Underworld were playing Born Slippy after playing the whole of their first album for example.

Looks like they won't do that here.
