Trying to expand my musical horizons by giving Kano a go this afternoon.

I think it's fair to say that I may not really get this. The energy's amazing, but that's in the same way I can appreciate the technical skill of a painting without actually wanting to look at the thing.

Live might be interesting. But it's not doing my ears any favours right now :(

Are you familiar with Demon Days by Gorrilaz? That was my Kano gateway drug.

Two new ones for me: Anderson Paak and Cinematic Orchestra. Very much enjoying both

I was listening to Anderson.Paak before work this morning before work. Well worth seeking out at Glastonbury I think.

Yeah, but his solo stuff just doesn't do it for me.  It's fair to apply that to grime in general though, not just Kano. Appreciate it, don't necessarily enjoy it.

Pretenders "Learning To Crawl" - surely to be added as a Acoustic headliner or sub during Foos, Ed, or Buffy time slots.

then trying to decide between 2 Cornershop albums to play next. anyone else see them in 2002 in the new bands tent?

I'd love to see them!

Flaming lips. Genuinely don't think I've ever listened to them before, not even Do You Realize?? Which is bizarre since they are right up my street.

however, getting to know them now is probably just creating an unnecessary problem for myself, because clashes.
