Hi everyone! We are arriving at London on the 19th of June but we need to buy a tent and mattress for Glastonbury. Is there some place that anyone can recommend? We will only be travelling with sleeping bags so we need to get stuff cheap when we arrive... Can anyone help out? Like a second hand store or somewhere?

Can't say I know of any places that do second hand tents in London. You can always try gumtree when you arrive, but I'd be more inclined to go for something like this. It's available from the larger stores, although you won't find any of those right in the centre of London. A friend has the 2 man version and although I had my doubts about it, it's been in use since 2013 and hasn't caused him any problems.

Also they do sell tents and air matress especially on site...you will pay slightly more but it is worth not scrambling/ lugging it on site. Just make sure you take it with you when you leave or possibly donate it if they're doing donation collections.

Don't know how you're getting to Glastonbury from London. If you're taking the coach from Victoria, there's an Argos nearby. If you're taking the coach from the O2, there's a Decathlon at Surrey Quays/Canada Water station.

If you're taking the train, then Paddington is your start point. In which case the closest Argos is at Marble Arch (Edgware Road).

Honestly, though, maybe Camplight would be best for you who will pre-pitch tents. Think they went on sale today tho

I think you can pre-order camping stuff and pick it up on site or just buy it on site at one of the camping stalls. However you will need to take all your gear off site when you leave so I hope you weren't  planning on leaving it all behind!! #Leave no trace

alternatively you could try one of the pre-erected tents.

Tents from Argos you can get pretty cheap - just make sure it has a 2000+ hh in case of rain ☔️
