I know it's a risk but how much can a weather forecast change when we're in this spell of great weather? Worst comes to worst it'll be a bit muddy on Sunday, but it'll be bearable for a day. If it stays this hot any light shower will dry off within an hour. I HAVEN'T FELT THIS OPTIMISTIC IN YEARS!! sime
Ha ha, I'm thinking the same way as everyone else! I was going to wear my wellies there with Converse in rucksack but the wellies really are beginning to feel more and more unnecessary...! Glasto Weatherwatch
At this stage, best case is 1999 (looks very similar), worst case 2015 (pretty good but low danger mud present after that one downpour). But pleeeease let it be not muddy. Edited June 19, 2017 by Glasto Weatherwatch
oneeye
Training Shoes at the most now I reckon; wellies won't be required. I bet we still see people wearing brand new hunters in 30 degrees
Lubic
Definitely still taking wellies. 2015 showed a spell of afternoon rain can still make it muddy. Wouldn't feel comfortable just having a pair of converse all weekend. Plus, it would undoubtably curse us. Gonna look a bit silly wearing them on the coach down in these conditions, mind! rpfranks
2014 had that horrible Friday evening thunderstorm and most of the site was dry again by Saturday afternoon. We won't get any worse than that. It will be fine.
OneLittleFish
Going to go for hiking boots and trainers. Don't think wellies will be required if I have the backup of boots.
windy_miller
I have a 10 year old pair of trainers, that aren't waterproof in the slightest, or wellies. I can't risk leaving the weliies behind as I have to use them for the slightest hint of mud.
Superunknown
Taking wellies but leaving them in the car. Learnt my lesson of not taking wellies.
Lucy92
I'm just taking walking boots. They're comfy and lightweight but also waterproof incase it does rain
Nobody Interesting
I managed with walking boots last year and will wear them this year too so they give me support. No need for wellies this year at all.

That could be my dislike of those stupid short sock things!
MetaKate
You people not taking wellies are absolutely mad. You'll curse us all! Last year was my first year and there's no way I can even consider not taking wellies
Peroni
I'll be taking wellies for warm mainly. It gets cold after the sun goes in I need the insulation. Otherwise it will be converse/ flip flops most of the time

squirrelarmy
Too many of you forsaking wellies. If your extreme optimism means the weather gods cast torrential rain upon us then it's all on you!
Heather90
Another one here. Have some brand new wellies i may leave at home. Will save the final decision for Thursday morning. Trainers and walking boots are provisionally packed
Fearless_Fish
For the love of God take either walking boots or wellies
phillyfaddle
Not taking wellies? I was there in 2005. Take them.
rebus
Wellies - Bringing but leaving in car Walking boots - wearing from car to campsite but hopefully not needing again. Trekking shoes - main choice this year for around site Teva sandals - around the tent, maybe even weds/Thurs, too risky for main stages though. Flying_Hellfish
Boots and wellies in the car for me. Staying at WV so won't be too much hassle to fetch them if they really are needed.
