And Sunday patchy light rain, potentially a bit heavier pm. But the rain it shows on Sat and Sun is basically mist.

22-23 degrees as well, warmer again.

It's worth saying, there's still disagreement between Met Office and GFS.

Met: band of thick cloud late Friday, possibility for light rain. Sat / Sun - cloudy with mostly less than 10% chance of rain.

GFS: No rain Friday (but heavier band north of us); Sat and Sun cloudy with higher chance of light showers.

That's because GFS is one model and not the most important one for the Met Office who make a forecast interpreting other models as well such as ECM and their own models that we don't see all the details of

To summarise the 12Z:

Tues, 27-29, possibly some rain but will dry out exceptionally fast at these temps even if more than showing (same as the last run)
Weds, 28-29, no rain (warmer)
Thurs, 21-22, no rain (same as last run)
Friday, 20-22, no rain (same as last run) though a possibility of very light shower late on in headliner time
Saturday, 21 (warmer), some very light rain around though through the day to tea
Sunday, 21-23 (warmer), light rain during the day with the chance of a little heavier later possibly. Clear in the evening.

Yes I know - just think it's interesting that there are still two distinct outcomes on the table 3-4 days out.

I was going to wear my walking boots on the Wed so I wouldn't have to carry them as an extra weight... Starting to think twice about that now! Might not even bring them to the festival?!

original plan was to wear walking boots and leave wellies in the car but I think I'll wear my running trainers and leave walking boots in the car now. Flip flops also packed for milling about at the tent.  It's happening!

Walking boots seem like an unnecessary extra until you've twisted an ankle and had it cost you days of festival.

Think the footwear debate just depends on the individual to be honest...for all the years I've been going to festivals I've only ever worn converse or cheap £5 dunlop wellies, never had any issues, feet have never really hurt after days of walking and never been uncomfortable.

I really think, and my waters and knowledge of weather patterns tell me, that

 

it will be dry for 5 days

Yeah thinking the same. I know it's a risk but how much can a weather forecast change when we're in this spell of great weather?

All I want is a couple of days without wellies. It can sheet it down Sunday for all I care, at least I would have had 2-3 days of being able to walk comfortably.
