kingcrawler
I think the album's decent but nothing more than that, starts off strongly but definitely tails off a bit after For What it's Worth. The first two songs are the best on it for me. Glad I saw him at Glastonbury now as I saw pretty much everything I needed there rather than having to fork out for the arena tour too. FloorFiller
Gotta day I’m pleasantly surprised by this. Hardly gonna win over any new fans or win any awards but there are some really good songs here. The slower ones seem to work best, with the rockier ones sometimes just sounding like bad Oasis b-sides, but overall not bad at all. Didnt realise how much I’d missed hearing Liam’s voice. That's because production kinda ruined rockier ones. Greedy Soul is amazing live for example
FloorFiller
Doesn’t Have To Be That Way definitely should’ve made the album instead of being relegated to a bonus track imo. One of, if not the best faster paced tracks on there. Thought this would be a ‘one listen and then forgotten about entirely’ kind of album for me tbh but I can see this getting a fair few listens from me (and then forgetting about it entirely). Especially, Doesn't Have To Be That Way, which is the possibly most anti-Gallagher track ever (until Noel's album comes out hopefully ) It has been worth the wait for me, anyway Yeah, that one has to be my favorite so far. Also I Never Wanna Be Like You sounds like an album closer and has that great violin ending
The Nal
Pitchforks review. Aside from “Wall of Glass,” As You Were never convinces you of its reason to exist Ouch!
Nicklord
Pitchfork got so boring in the last 10 years. You can literally guess what they are going to write without even listening to the album, just based on the name and reputation
FloorFiller
Pitchfork have a weird things with big British acts who aren’t Radiohead in that they seem to underscore them constantly. This album is by no means a masterpiece but that scores pretty harsh, although as said above, if you know Pitchfork you could’ve seen it coming a mile off. CaledonianGonzo
Laura Snapes is a Brit. She used to write for the NME.

Madyaker
I thought he didn't souund great on Jools but he seems to be getting praise from all sides. I'll give the album a listen when it comes out but I'm not expecting my mind to be blown. I think Noel's forthcoming album will be more interesting. Padgey
Liam on Radio 2 now, just done Wall of Glass and it wasn't half bad. Wasn't going to rush out and buy the album but heard a few tunes from it now and it seems pretty decent.
