Yeah obviously music journalists are going to be there but it also just makes me wonder how much this is for 'fans' and how much it's just promo, I wonder how many tickets actually went to local fans vs press

Probably half and half, rather than mostly for the fans.

It's a PR stunt.  One that happens to benefit a few lucky fans, but audiences for things like this tend to be largely made up of the media and industry types and friends of friends.

As it looks like it will be streamed live over the internet surely most of the tickets should have gone to fans, but it is what it is I guess.
