Most of his music wasn't for me but you couldn't deny the talent.  The music, however, that was for me, some of the finely honed balladry and prince-esque funk...as good as anything anyone ever made.

As others have said, I always sort of hoped he would be on the bill one year.

Remember watching this concert, and not being impressed at the prospect of George singing with Queen.

i also remember the hairs on the back of my neck standing up when he completely nailed it, in a way that no other singer could have.

Lucky you! I quite often watch the footage on YouTube. I love axl roses entrance on bohemian rhapsody. Must have been thrilling to be there!
