kalifire
Gutted to hear about this. I've long wanted him for a legend or maybe even Sunday night slot. And had a lot of time for him as a man. 53, as well. Fuck.

FloorFiller
oh man this one hurts. i know a lot of people on here probably weren't fans but i thought he was ace when Carrie Fisher seemingly pulled through i knew there'd have to be a sacrifice made in her stead, but jesus, 2016 really went for it

russycarps
Can't believe it. 53. Heartbreaking stuff. Always had a soft spot for some of his stuff. 80sballadstastic.
Spindles
Most of his music wasn't for me but you couldn't deny the talent. The music, however, that was for me, some of the finely honed balladry and prince-esque funk...as good as anything anyone ever made. As others have said, I always sort of hoped he would be on the bill one year.
Funkyfairy!
So sad :-( saw him a few years ago at the royal Albert hall supported by the symphomonic orchestra and he was absolutely amazing..... Such a talent and also hoped he would be on the bill one day :-(

FuzzyDunlop
My favourite George Michael song. A far better song writer than many people gave him credit for.

plaskins
53 is no age. When I was younger, Father Christmas brought me a keyboard with this awesome demo song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBaOxO2qbRY R.I.P. brandycoke
Remember watching this concert, and not being impressed at the prospect of George singing with Queen. i also remember the hairs on the back of my neck standing up when he completely nailed it, in a way that no other singer could have.
