60s/70s psych/rock

Is there any bars that play this kind of music late night? Been listening to a lot of Love / Cream / Zep / Doors / Jefferson lately, wouldn't mind ending the day with some of this kind of thing....

We had a chance of this genre headlining in 2008, but in their wisdom the festival organisers thought kings of leon, jay z and the verve were better options than pink floyd.

Theres a big lack of that sort of stuff. At that time of night its either shitty pill music or "ironic" 80s anthems.

Possibly yeah. Didn't go last year but have been there most years. Spent a lot of time there circa 09/10/11. Great band and those strawberry daiquiris are the strongest drinks on site.

Love the Rocket Lounge and the Diner. Some great music but sadly no late 60s early 70s. A groovy little club playing this with some psychedelic lighting would be ideal for me. In fact I would volunteer to DJ.

Bourbon Street used to be excellent, but sadly I think it's no more.

Look out for tours of Australian Pink Floyd, Brit Floyd and the Classic Rock Show (all part of the same team with slightly different line ups).

It bugs me that you hear so little of this music on the radio. You can hear the most popular tracks of the main artists such as those listed by our friend McCor above but those bands have extensive catalogues of songs that never get played. Plus there were many great bands such as Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Spirit, Incredible String Band, Country Joe & The Fish, John Mayall, Keef Hartley, Taste, Its A Beautiful Day, Tyrannosaurus Rex etc etc etc etc etc who never get played.

Yeah but that tends to be the more commercial stuff with a leaning to Heavy Metal and to be honest the adverts drive me nuts.
