ryan.wills
What do we think about the possibility of Phoenix returning this year? Headlined the John Peel stage in 2013. Have prepped website and social network pages to the television test pattern, typically implying a channel or transmitter is active but is not yet broadcasting anything. Have announced their first festival date for next summer with Bilbao BBK Live.
e9t3
Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is such a great summery indie album
jackarmy
Yeah I could see them being there, 3rd from top of the Other Stage seems about right to me.

Calvin Klein
Best set I've seen in 2013. It was too short. But absolutely incredible.
hurdy
Yes please. But leave R Kelly behind, ta.

pastorofmuppets
Anyone else see them getting an early-ish Pyramid slot? They've got the tunes for it, although I would worry about whether Thomas's voice would carry well enough, he's not the strongest of singers
Pinhead
Thought you were referring to the old festival from the '90's of the same name. I feel so old

Matt - Ed Banger Records
No chance they're big enough to headline WH, that would be a step up from the last time they played, and I they haven't got any bigger since then - headline Park or a mid Other slot I could see. zeppelin
Best set of the weekend on JPT in 2013 for me. Absolutely loved it so would happily have them back.

I'd say very definitely not, unless their output has changed radically in the last decade (cos i can't be sure I've heard anything in that time).... and it's no coincidence that they've played JP previously. Matt - Ed Banger Records
To be fair I haven't really listened to huge amounts of Phoenix so I could, and probably am, way off as to what their sound is these days.

If you go by last years lineup I suppose they still fit the JP stage the most. Bankrupt didn't have as big an impact as Wolfgang did but was still a great album. I sort of saw them playing a bigger stage almost out of long term respect.. If you will.
