Yes, but won't be my last. Our core festival-going gang ranges in preferences from folk to heavy metal, with blues as the common middle ground.  So we try to find a festival each year that covers each end of the interests.

A couple of the group had done Steelhouse before and persuaded the rest of us to give it a try this year and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and will all be going back.

It helps that most of us live in the Blackwood/Caerphilly areas, so it was also on our doorsteps.

I caravan, with a pretty big, heavy twin axle van, so getting up the hill was a good challenge but, luckily, I've got a decent tow car.

That's a new exclusive ''full headline production exclusive''.

Presumably meaning they will be at Bloodstock.

Bernie Marsden was outstanding a couple of years ago at Ramblin Man. I hope this means he'll play there on the same weekend too.

Looks like he's doing a whitesnake set on the Friday and an acoustic set on the Saturday

STEELHOUSE - The UK's best value rock festival - gives you FREE FRIDAY! For all the lovely folk who buy a ticket for this year's mountain-top shenanigans, we'll throw in a FREE FRIDAY warm-up show of the highest quality.
This year will see a very special performance by HAND OF DIMES that not only features the magnificent vocal talents of - former SKIN frontman - NEV MacDONALD but also a special guest appearance by - former Whitesnake guitar legend - Mr. BERNIE MARSDEN. Bernie will also be sticking around for an exclusive acoustic performance on Saturday afternoon!
If that's not enough, Friday will also see the very welcome return of our Celtic brothers TRUCKER DIABLO, along with the winner of this years' Battle Of The Bands competition. The night will be topped off by award winning FUEL ROCK CLUB who'll be hosting the after-show party in the bar every night of the festival!
Unbelievably, all this costs you NOTHING over the price of your (weekend or day) festival ticket!  Our pleasure.
