Taxi's and traffic during the weekend

How easy is it to get to and from the site using taxi's during the festival... not thinking of doing this on the Wednesday or Monday, but the weekend... is it best to pre-book (if so any recommendations for a good co.,) or is there a "taxi rank" per se?  Also, what are the roads like once the rush on Wednesday is over?

Considering getting the daughter down from Brissle to join us on the Saturday, and considering a trip to collect her on the Friday...

I think there's a bus straight from Bristol bus station to the festival site isn't there ?   I think it would be quicker and vastly cheaper .

Outside of Tuesday night/Wednesday morning traffic around the site is actually very quiet so it's quite easy getting around

Check out the festival travel section for details of the shuttle bus services as they are probably easiest way to get on and off site as don't think taxis can get that close. The scheduled bus from Bristol stops at Glastonbury Town which is also served by the shuttle bus so try that as a starting point
