I would bloody love to see Supertramp or Dire Straits on West Holts against Ga Ga!  Is there even a 25% chance it might happen?

Very unlikely - I can't see Knopfler resurrecting Dire Straits anytime soon and Supertramp have been on a hiatus since 2015 for health reasons. What about Mark Knopfler solo? I think he does a fair bit of DS material live.

Supertramp would be massive but I can't see it happening anytime soon, especially at Glastonbury. Roger Hodgson is playing a host of solo dates throughout 2017 but they seem to be theatre type venues. I think he'd be ace headlining acoustic stage. In my humble opinion that's the most likely. Extremely slim but not impossible.

As for Mr. Knopfler, he doesn't seem to have any plans in 2017 yet but I'm sure he'll tour at some point. Incredible live and those DS songs sound great live. Especially Telegraph Road. Sadly I don't see him playing Glastonbury.

Here's hoping that I'm wrong though.

I was working alongside John Helliwell of Supertramp at the Manchester Jazz Festival in July. Sadly Rick Davies is still unwell and although they would still like to get back together at some stage in the future, after the O2 gig was cancelled, it's unlikely to happen in the near future. Davies and Hodgson don't get on at all - Davies broke a gentleman's agreement to leave Hodgson's songs out of their set.

Supertramp without Hodgson are a poor imitation in my opinion.

Be better off just getting Roger Hodgson to play instead. His own band are excellent.

Dire would be very close to, if not headliners on whatever stage whenever and Supertramp would also be very high up on the listings. Having said that do half the Glasto punters nowadays even know of these people??
