Winky12
Well done to everyone who got tickets and commiserations to those that didn't. My group have managed to get tickets this year after a few failures but I am after some advice. I would like my 11 year old daughter to do one day at the festival (Saturday,so she will not miss school,SAT year). I live about 40 miles away and my mother has agreed to drop her off and pick up whatever the times, I am sure she will like to see a headliner so it will be quite late. Any ideas about where is the best place to get her dropped off and picked up again. I haven't been for a few years and I am sure things have changed a bit. TheNewUnion
Park and Ride is at Bath and West, bus leaves from Gate A. Get the Bus to B&W, collect your daughter then jump back on the Bus to the Festival. Won't take too long. No, you haven't, they do get in free. Maybe take along proof of her age (passport) just in case, but unlikely you'll get challenged.

Winky12
Cheers, I am looking forward to taking her. It will be good to see all the bits I don't normally. It will be strange seeing the place straight, I have been a lot of times but can't seem to remember that much.
Scotdy
I took my little one this year for the day. He got dropped off at gate A. The AA had a little garage tent set up in a carpark on the main road, they let people use it as an unofficial drop off / pick up point. It was about a 5 minutes walk to the gate and easy to do. SusanMay
Hi, We took our (then) 11 year old this year to the whole festival. If you're worried about your daughter missing schooling year 6 as it's her SATS year, unless things are changing in 2017, the tests were done and dusted in May and after that they all seemed to have a great time but did very little school work! Just check the Leavers trip away doesn't coincide with the Glastonbury dates. Age 12 and under get in free. 2017 will be our daughter's final free one sadly. We've never been asked about her age though no harm in taking some proof of age just in case.
k8yphillips
I took my 2 from the weds until the Friday last year and year before.. we took the bus from gate a and my mum met us at the bath and west.. I was surprised about how easy it was about 5 min wait for the bus either side.
