Birmingham Coach tickets to travel on Thursday?

Thinking about trying for Coach tickets this year but we can only travel on Thursday and I think most coaches leave on Wednesday.  Can't see any info about this yet on the website to see if this is a viable option.  I wondered if anyone did this last year and if you remember whether it was possible to travel on Thursday or even late Wednesday night. from Birmingham.

you can select a thursday departure for coach travel from Birmingham, but you don't get to select departure times.

if you can't leave until late Wednesday you can't risk picking this option, you have no control over the departure time

Ok thanks for this.  We need to be coming home late Sunday evening / early Monday morning too so i'm not sure this really an option for us.  Looks like returning on a Sunday is only available for a few locations and this doesn't include Brum.

I travelled on Thursday from Birmingham.  And my coach back was pretty early on Monday morning - 8.30 I think but I think there are earlier ones and you can get on any on the way back I think.  But no, nothing on Sunday as far as I know.

Thanks Beerqueen.  Do you remember if you had the option to select the time you came back on Monday when you purchased the ticket or did you have to wait until nearer the time to see what they would offer you?

No couldn't choose the time on the way there or back, I just had to take what was given.  In the event I didn't get the coach back as a friend offered me a lift home.  But everyone on here has said that they don't check what coach you have been allocated on the way back - it's just a free for all.  And I suspect that the early ones are probably half empty so you could probably get on the earliest one - whenever that is.
