TomViolence
Should really check out one of the smaller festivals I've been wanting to go to (Green Man/EOTR/Latitude). Will probably end up at one of the European festivals. If somewhere can get close to this year's NOS Alive lineup then it'll be hard to say no. You're basically creating your own personal variation on misery of The Weather Thread, but with guaranteed Nal Conditions. That's why I'm going. But seriously, I completely ignored the summer bit of the thread because the real answer probably involves working to compensate for the long holiday taken earlier/later in the year and how can I brag about that? kellly
Ooh dont know what to do! I'll have to have a good peruse of some options, I should hopefully (fingers crossed) be graduating in the summer of 2018 too!

I suppose it is, but I will still be going. For me, it's a week in a beach resort nearby, spending the day on the beach or around the pool, incredibly cheap and efficient transport to and from, cheap tickets and most years a stellar lineup. They've managed to book Radiohead twice in the past 5 years or so. It's pretty much the opposite of Glastonbury in every way imaginable, but in a way I suppose that is the appeal. Change is as good as a rest and all that.

Tyonks
Not sure yet, but any time I have a beer i'll ensure I leave it out in the sun for at least an hour - nothing beats warm cans at Glastonbury!
SwedgeAntilles
I'll put on my own festival! With blackjack, and hookers!
CaledonianGonzo
Now I finally have time to do what I've always wanted: write the great American novel. Mine is about a futuristic amusement park where dinosaurs are brought to life through advanced cloning techniques. I call it "Billy and the Cloneasaurus". Hugh Jass
2006 - went to Bennicassim 2012 - spent a fortune on Olympics tickets so wouldn't have been able to afford GF anyway. 2018 - Who knows? Always wanted to go to the World Cup...

JoeyT
The final Sunday before a fallow year. I'm feeling emotional thinking about it
Amy Lawn
Learn Japanese. Then I'll be able to sing along to BabyMetal's 2019 Pyramid headline set.
Madyaker
Maybe Boomtown? It looks good and going to more than one festival overseas in a summer seems a bit excessive.
grumpyhack
Cart before the horse for me. I'll worry about what to do in the fallow year once I've managed to get tickets for 2017. That's not looking good as our most successful ticket getter and I will both be away on T Day.

Keithy
Quite like the shout of Fujirocks My backup plan for 2017 (if I don't get tickets) is to go travelling round the Balkans, spending some time in Sarajevo, Zagreb, Belgrade, some of their national parks. If I get a ticket this year then I'll probably bump those plans to 2018. Have also wanted to go to the States and do some of the great american train journeys. ohvienna
My boyfriend and I did Optimus (now NOS) Alive the last fallow but I think for the next fallow, I really want to do an American road trip and visit a load of the National Parks. We'll see though, depends on what other festival lineups end up looking like.
