Jamie Lee from Money did perhaps the most bizarre secret set at midnight on Saturday.

He was off his head. First he read out a terrible poem then, ignoring calls for him to play a song, he challenged a woman to an arm wrestle. Having beaten her he said he won because she was a woman and a few people started booing. Next he started offering the chance for someone to punch him in the face.

By now if had clearly descended into farce. His management/friends ended up escorting him from the stage much to the relief of everyone present. At one point he even ran off behind the stage into the bushes and emerged back to hi five a few reluctant members of the crowd.

I recognised him, not because I like his band but because him and his mates (fellow band members maybe?) had been shouting about during Phosphorescent's secret show the night before. Again they were completely off their heads, one chap especially was having more than a bit of trouble on whatever he'd taken.

Earlier on the Saturday evening, just before Steve Mason played, I'd also seen him walking towards the exit of the Big Top. A female steward tried to stop him at which point he opened his arms in that Liam Gallagher indie-swagger and walked threateningly towards her only stopping when a security guard moved in.

Please don't invite him back next year.

Also had the 'pleasure' of seeing the Jamie Lee secret set, the only secret set I've ever seen at EOTR. Great one to pick!

Did have the pleasure of chatting with Evan Hall of Pinegrove when hanging around the Piano Stage on Sunday afternoon. Saw their set earlier on Sunday, which I enjoyed. He was kind enough to tell me about secret sets by several acts later that day, including the second Pinegrove set on Sunday night.

Found out about the secret set from Wild Beasts on Wednesday of last week thanks to a friend who knows the band, but was sworn to secrecy. Ended up going to see BC Camplight anyway as the two sets clashed.
