They all dodge enough tax to take the £2M hit, to play Glastonbury. I can't see them ever playing again. To them Glastonbury was something to be ticked off the list and never mentioned again; similar to their actual performance.

I guess when you look at it from their point of view it's hard to see why they would. It's taking them well outside their comfort zone and for what? It's not like they need the money or the publicity.

I'd be surprised if Lukas wasn't there but I'd equally be surprised if Bad Religion was.

They are not my favourite band   but the hardback book is a lovely piece of work and compliments another I got from a car boot sale for £2 which documents all their tours upto  Zoo TV I think .  

I think most of the £2m was the loss of a show they would have played in the US had they not appeared at Glasto

I was surprised Lukas Graham weren't there this year. Maybe they decided having Jamie Lawson on the Other Stage was quite enough representation for dreary one hit wonders at one festival

I went to Ramsbottom Festival yesterday. Saw a jazz, electronic, saxaphone hybrid band called Moon Hooch. 

Would love to see them on the WH next year.

Just a generic blues rif to be fair, done many times before White Stripes came along. 

I like Jet, got the the first (possibly only?) 2 albums and they still get the odd spin.

It was already kind of assumed but Paolo Nutini is definitely back - headlining Hogmanay in Edinburgh - so he can be considered one of the stronger contenders for a Pyramid sub

aren't they a bit too rock for the acoustic tent (I know its not always the case but most acts there are usually somewhat acoustic)?  i was thinking early afternoon on the Pyramid like Squeeze this year.

there are plenty of acts early on the Pyramid who don't really have many (or any) recognisable songs. you'd be hard pressed to find many who know more than one song by Toumani & Sidika, Gregory Porter, Babaa Maal, Angel Haze, Courtney Barnett, etc....
