They're BST exclusive and I've heard their contracts are an absolute bugger to get out of.
mercury
those 3 just don't look right for latitude either. looks way more vfestival. i accept it looks like we're getting 2 of them but i'm hoping for something slightly more credible as the third! V Festival does seem to be eradicating guitar music from the top of their bill though... But I understand your point, and I agree- I'm hoping for the same. evannn
I don't think there's necessarily going to be a huge act as the final headliner. 1975 and mumfords are both big enough to justify the capacity increase If anyone's still looking through local papers the EADT and Beccles & Bungay Journal don't have anything useful
the wonderwhy
I'm assuming it's at 7 because it'll be on the radio, rather than in the Metro

tomzsz
imagine promising the "biggest lineup yet" and then letting fleet foxes headline .... surely they should swap places with fatboy slim ? Rose-Colored Boy
Well that's ... unexpected. Fleet Foxes has obviously happened because they spent the cost of two headliners on Mumfords. Ol' Norman Cook must have discovered where FR's bodies are buried! mercury
i'm torn. first impression is that its awful but ride, grandaddy, the horrors, john cale and divine comedy all make me happy so its not horrendous... disappointing though. Chawk
I think you guys underestimate Fleet Foxes. Helplessness Blues was a big album and one of the best of 2011, with the new one coming out I don't think this slot is beyond them. They have over one million likes on Facebook, not that that's a great metric, but it shows they're hardly as obscure as people are making out.. Rose-Colored Boy
If not for Fleet Foxes we'd be saying that's the biggest set of headliners they've ever had so yeah they've really messed up there, spending big but still letting it feel pretty small time Edited March 1, 2017 by Zac Quinn

Yeah there are some delights among the 'also appearing' pile for sure but the stage headliners are slim pickings. It'll no doubt look a million times better next announcement. Brownie30
Some cracking stuff in that "appearing across the festival" section at the bottom mind: Grandaddy, Ride, Maggie Rogers, Loyle Carner, Japanese House, Tinariwen etc.... Looks set to be my first Latitude with no main stage headliner, but that's no real bother.
the wonderwhy
I saw Placebo had posted they were playing and assumed they were headlining. What an odd booking. Mumford v Jack Garrat is a grim choice.
