FN27622
I'm going to Leeds Fest for the second time. My friend has let me borrow her provisional to buy alcohol/cigarettes on site and in case we get checked at security. Last year I luckily wasn't called over by security and got into the campsite fine, but we went on the Wednesday and it was just us girls, whereas this year I'm going early Thursday morning and I'm with a group of five boys. We are taking our own alcohol in and instead of hiding a crate I was wondering whether they are lenient with ID. This ID could pass off as me but I was wondering whether anyone under 18 (I'm 17) has got away with/not got away with someone else's ID at security and the cigarette shops on site, as we wouldn't really be using the bars. Thank youu Edited August 21, 2016 by FN27622
BeddingatReading
The security are quite hot on it at Reading, not too sure about Leeds, worst thing they'll do is take it off you, the police will take it and destroy it, you won't get arrested or anything, but depends if you're willing to risk losing it. Cammers
I'm absolutely positive a lot of underagers do this - tip would be to only use it once, i.e. Go get an 18+ wristband with it and then put the ID somewhere safe to avoid annoying your mate. FN27622
Thank you both - like I said it would just be for the security part and perhaps buy cigarettes, so I probably wouldn't use it for the bars. I've never used this ID before so I'm a bit nervous - the more I look at it the less I think I could get away with it D:
Cammers
The security part is outright luck but I don't see them taking younger looking festival goers off to the side that often. Suppose it can depend on how much alcohol you have and whether you're talking about Pokemon Go as you walk through If you don't want to take the risk once you're in - get pally with some older neighbours, someone will help you out or a least crash you a couple of fags if the going gets tough.
