do any of you know how strict they are when it comes to under 18s bring alcohol into the campsite? the majority of us are only a few months away.

what I mean is do they check well and if they find it will they take it away?

Don't carry anything in your hands, put it in your bag and hope you don't get stopped. We were 17 in 2014 and got away with it, but got IDd last year when we were 18. Just walk straight past the people searching and hope they don't talk to you. 

You'll probably be ok, 9 people out of 10 don't get searched.
