Glastonbury 2016 novelette

A week ago I was amid the madness of Glastonbury 2016 and now I'm missing it. Most of the reviews just write about the bands, but this one is insane. It's thousands of words long and gets right into the madness, like an adventure story or a non-fiction novel, and it's full of naughty behahviour: http://www.theartsdesk.com/new-music/theartsdesk-glastonbury-festival-2016

Captures the spirit of the place, if you ask me.

Take care. Have fun. Honkytonkhero.

It certainly captures the spirit of the place - not to mention the mud which I found hugely difficult to deal with. I'm small, thin and pathetically feeble so it wasn't as much fun this year although I had my moments.

Good article but there were a couple of things in it that I didn't understand when it comes to drugs. For example:

"When Don Carlton eventually arrives, I become overexcited and gargle a load of Minced Finkies from the Orient. These spin my brain up faster than a V2 rocket launching from Coupole d'Helfaut-Wizernes in 1943."

What are Minced Finkies? And, Quivver Fizz? Nong Nong? Are these new names for uppers, downers, coke et al?

(Forgive my ignorance.)

I reckon they're all just light-hearted euphemisms for various forms of illicit mischief. Who knows? Like you say, uppers, downers and all-arounders (although I don't see much evidence of downers).

Glas you had some fun down there. It was for the hardcore this year!
